The neighborhood of Pina, is located in the coastal region of Recife, but even near the ocean there are a heat island caused by the construction of many big buildings near the sea. This área also hás bad afforestation, and intense traffic which make all things even worst. During the project process of a new urban design, new urban drawning, our group (me and other four students) developed better places and streets for who are living there.
We work mainly in the block which was highlighted on the map.

Our main focus was: human scale
1: consolidation of architecture that was still confused and undefined, new urban design.
2: transference of public school, from an avenue with intense traffic, and with the new bigger space the creation of a library.
3: humanization and greening the street.
4: restoration of the historic building, Caiçara, that was partially demolished.
